CELPIP Reading Overview


 The CELPIP Reading tasks are designed to evaluate your reading skills across various contexts, encompassing both everyday situations and more complex academic or professional topics. It is important to approach each task with careful reading, attentiveness to instructions, and effective time management to ensure completion within the allotted timeframe.


I. Task 1: Reading Correspondence


 In this task, you will be presented with a series of short messages or emails that simulate real-life communication. These correspondences can involve various topics and scenarios, such as work-related discussions, personal messages, or informational exchanges. Your objective is to carefully read and understand the content and context of the messages.


You will then be required to answer multiple-choice questions based on the information provided in the correspondence. These questions aim to evaluate your comprehension of the purpose, tone, specific details, and implied meaning conveyed in the messages.


 The questions may test your understanding of the relationship between the individuals involved, their intentions, requests, or responses. They may also assess your ability to identify key information, such as dates, times, locations, or actions mentioned in the correspondence.
