(1) Tips


1. Skim the text


Before diving into the details, quickly skim through the passage to get an overview of the topic and identify the main viewpoints or arguments presented. Pay attention to headings, subheadings, or any highlighted or bolded text that provides an indication of the content.


2. Read actively


Read the passage carefully, focusing on each sentence and paragraph. Pay attention to the different viewpoints presented and the arguments or evidence provided to support them.


3. Identify the viewpoints


Understand the different perspectives or viewpoints presented in the text. Recognize the main arguments, positions, or opinions of each viewpoint.


4. Contrast and compare


Identify the similarities and differences between the viewpoints. Analyze how they relate to one another and consider the reasons behind these perspectives.


5. Evaluate the arguments


Assess the strength of the arguments presented by each viewpoint. Consider the evidence, examples, or logic provided to support their arguments. Analyze the validity and soundness of the reasoning.

(2) Key points


- Before reading an article, remember the questions' proper nouns ( check question' nouns like “according to” , “objective” / “aim is\").


- You should memorize while reading the article like the name of the person to be introduced and the characteristics of their claim.


- Comment Statement Please note whether the question is about the article or the comment of the commenter.


- Even if you pass some words, there is no big obstacle to understanding the whole flow of the article, so read it with the consideration of the pros and cons.


- Some questions are not about simple facts, but about 'claims' of 'author' or 'mentioned people'
